Covid-19 Update 2023

Coronavirus (Covid-19) Update 2023

We recognize that Red Oak Animal Hospital's services and leadership during the Coronavirus Pandemic are needed to continue providing essential services to our patients and to protect our Clients and Staff. We are committed to providing a safe and healthy environment to serve you.

Beginning May 1, 2023, the following Policies will be implemented:

  • Masks are encouraged but are no longer required.
  • The recommended practice of "social distancing" is still in effect. Currently, the maximum number of Clients allowed in the office at any one time is three.
  • Visits to the hospital should be by appointment or call ahead. Upon arrival, please call us to alert us that you have arrived. We will advise you as to when you can enter the premises, or we will make arrangements to come to your car to receive your pet.
  • Clients are strongly encouraged to wear a mask while in the hospital. The exception is admission to exam rooms, where a mask is required. Please avoid bringing children, friends, or other family members with you during your visit to limit exposure.
  • No personal items can be kept with the pet while hospitalized, including blankets, toys, collars, leashes, etc.
  • All pets must be on a secure leash or carrier and under your control.
  • Please use the sanitizing agents at the front desk upon arrival or use your own.
  • We are asking that pet owners who are or have been ill, in contact with someone who has recently tested positive for covid-19, or traveled out of the state or country within one week of your visit, which are deemed hot spots for covid-19 ( i.e., Europe or Asia) to re-schedule their appointment or call before traveling to our office.

Thank you for your understanding, and please do not hesitate to call us with any questions. We will continue to keep you informed as news and information becomes available. For the most current information, please visit www.coronavirus.gov.
